Accessibility
Our commitment, the standard we build to, what we know is still imperfect, and how to tell us when something blocks you.

Our commitment
NUMR8LOGY is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who browse with screen readers, keyboards only, screen magnification, voice control, or reduced motion settings. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site, not as a plugin bolted on at the end.
We take this seriously as a matter of basic decency, and separately because a store that cannot be used by everyone is a store that has quietly decided who gets to shop.
The standard we build to
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the W3C. WCAG defines requirements for making web content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
We describe our status as partially conformant, meaning most of the site meets the standard and we are actively working the gaps. We would rather say that accurately than claim full conformance we have not audited.
What we have built in
- Semantic HTML structure with a single logical heading order on every page.
- A skip to main content link as the first focusable element.
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element, never removed.
- Full keyboard operability: navigation, the calculator, the cart, and checkout can all be completed without a mouse.
- Alternative text on meaningful images, and empty alt attributes on decorative ones so screen readers skip them.
- Form inputs with real associated labels, and errors announced in text rather than by color alone.
- Color contrast checked against WCAG AA. Our cream-on-near-black palette was chosen partly because it clears the ratio comfortably.
- Respect for the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting: if your system asks for less motion, animations are disabled. - Text that reflows and remains readable when zoomed to 200 percent.
- Touch targets sized for people with limited fine motor control.
Known limitations
Being honest about what is not yet perfect is more useful than a blanket claim of compliance.
- Some legacy product photography carried over from our previous store still has generic alternative text. We are rewriting it product by product.
- Third-party components, including the payment step, are partly outside our control. We choose vendors with accessibility in mind and report issues upstream.
- The numerology calculator produces a long text reading; we are continuing to improve how results are announced to screen readers when they update.
- We have not yet completed a formal third-party audit. That is on the roadmap.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this site blocks you, we want to hear about it, and we treat those reports as bugs with priority, not as feedback to file away.
