Numerology and your number

What is a Life Path number?

Your Life Path number is your complete date of birth reduced to a single digit, or to one of the master numbers 11, 22, or 33. In numerology it is considered the core number, the one describing the broad character of the road you are on rather than a specific event on it.

Nine root numbers plus three master numbers gives twelve, which is why there are twelve designs.

How do I find mine?

Use the calculator. Enter your full birth name and your complete date of birth and it computes instantly.

By hand: add every digit of your birth date together, then keep reducing until you reach a single digit. March 14, 1992 becomes 3 + 1 + 4 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 2 = 29, then 2 + 9 = 11. Eleven is a master number, so it stops there rather than reducing to 2.

Why does the calculator ask for my full birth name and birth year?

Because the arithmetic needs both. The date of birth drives the Life Path number. The name drives the Expression and Soul Urge numbers, since each letter maps to a value.

We know that is a sensitive pair of details to hand over, so we are specific about it: the calculation runs in your browser, your birth date is stored only in your own browser's local storage with an automatic expiry, it is never written to an order record, and you can erase it with one click. The full explanation is in section 3 of the privacy policy. Using the calculator is optional; you can shop the whole site without it.

Is any of this scientifically true?

No, and we are not going to tell you otherwise. Numerology is a symbolic tradition, not a science, and nothing on this site is a prediction or a substitute for professional advice of any kind.

It is a lens. Some people find it clarifying, some find it entertaining, and either is a fine reason to wear a number you like.

What are the master numbers?

11, 22, and 33. When a birth date reduces to one of these, numerology convention holds the reduction there rather than taking it down to 2, 4, or 6. They are traditionally read as more demanding versions of those roots: the Inspirer, the Master Builder, the Master Teacher. All three have their own design.

The garments

Where and how are they made?

In-house, on Long Island, New York, through the same owner's apparel production operation. They are not drop-shipped from a third-party print-on-demand warehouse.

Every piece is made to order, meaning production starts after you buy rather than pulling a pre-printed item off a shelf. That adds a few days before your package ships, and it is the reason someone actually inspects your garment before it goes in the box.

What does the printed QR code do?

Scanning the code with any phone camera opens that number's page on this site, where you can read the full interpretation of the archetype you are wearing.

It is there so the garment can answer the question it inevitably provokes. Someone asks what the number means, you hold out your sleeve, they point a phone at it. No app, no account, nothing to install.

Are the designs unisex?

Yes. Every piece is cut and sized unisex, and the artwork is not gendered in any direction. The size chart is a single unisex chart rather than separate men's and women's charts.

Practically, unisex sizing runs a little roomier and straighter through the body than women's-cut apparel. If you usually wear a women's medium and want a fitted look, size down one. If you want the oversized look, stay true to size or go up. The size guide has the actual measurements.

How does sizing run?

True to size for a relaxed unisex fit. Hoodies are cut roomy on purpose. Tees are a standard unisex cut.

Measure a garment you already own and love, lay it flat, and compare it to the chart. That beats guessing from a letter every time. Between sizes and undecided? Email us with your usual size in a brand you like and we will give you a straight recommendation.

How should I wash it?

Turn it inside out. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Tumble dry low, or hang dry, which is better. Do not bleach. Do not iron directly on the print; press the reverse side if you must.

Heat is what kills a print. Cold wash and low heat and the cream stays crisp for years. Note that a washed garment cannot be returned, so try it on before the first wash.

Will the print crack or fade?

Not with reasonable care. Followed the instructions above and the print still cracks, peels, or fades abnormally within 30 days of delivery? That is a defect and we will remake it at no cost. Send us photos.

Ordering, shipping, returns

How long until my order arrives?

Two separate clocks. Production takes 3 to 5 business days because the piece is made for you. Transit takes 2 to 7 business days depending on service and distance. Add them together and count business days only.

You get a tracking email the moment the label is created. Full detail on the shipping page.

Can I return something?

Yes. 14 days from delivery, unworn and unwashed, in original condition. Change-of-mind returns mean you cover return shipping. Defects, misprints, and anything we got wrong are on us, including the return label, and those carry a longer 30 day window.

Made to order does not mean final sale here. Full terms on the returns page.

How do exchanges work?

Email us with your order number and the size you want. Because we make everything ourselves, we start your replacement as soon as the exchange is approved instead of waiting for the original to arrive back, which usually saves about a week.

When do I get my refund?

We inspect within 2 business days of your return arriving, then submit the refund to the original payment method the same day. Your bank typically posts it within 5 to 10 business days after that.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet. All 50 states, DC, US territories, and APO/FPO addresses for now.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Within 2 hours of ordering, reliably. After that we will still try, and if the piece has not gone to print we can usually catch it. Once a tracking number exists the carrier controls the package.

Something is wrong with my order. What now?

Email mo@numr8logy.com with your order number and two photos: the whole garment and a close-up of the problem. We reply within 1 business day on business days and we will either remake it or refund you, your choice, at no cost to you.

Please write to us before filing a chargeback. A dispute locks the order into a 60 to 90 day bank process and takes away our ability to just fix it.
